13% of all police officers in the United States are women 1 in every 8 officers are women, and 1 in every 10 are supervisors or in administrative positions (police chiefs, captains, etc.) 3% of police departments in the U.S. have women as their police chiefs.

If there is a much bigger number of police officers who are women and women leading, it will create more of a sense of comfort and peace for many people; therefore leading to a much better relationship between the community and law enforcement/police as a whole. If this good relationship is established, imagine how much more peaceful and positive things would be when any crime-related issues arise!.
