Adaptive reuse one of the conservation approach. Adaptive reuse is a process of repurposing old buildings for a new viable and modern function. Reuse allows helping the building’s continued use and viable community asset (Master Class, 2020)..

Museums ought to be more visitor-oriented and promote by offering experiences that delight visitors, it is important for museums to have a good understanding of visitor experience by assessing visitor perceptions during museum visits ( Fajar , 2016).

ADAPTIVE REUSE. According to National Heritage Act 2005 (Act 645), adaptive reuse is defined the process of taking an old building or site, and reusing it for a purpose other than it was designed. Typically, it is closely related to historic preservation or conservation around cities with rich history (Compton Construction, 2016) Adaptive reuse is a process of repurposing old buildings for a new viable and modern function. Reuse allows helping the building’s continued use and viable community asset (Master Class, 2020)..

HISTOQUAL model is re-modified from SERVQUAL model. This model has been included 24 items and grouped into five dimensions (responsiveness, tangibles,  communication, consumables, and empathy) (Fajar, 2016).

The HISTOQUAL model was adapted from the SERVQUAL model, this model more suitable used to measure service quality in heritage settings.

HISTOQUAL can be a function to periodically re-manage to track service quality trends. This scale can then be used as a basis for comparing different occasions, such as across seasons and comparing performance over several years.

The museum visitor will be understood museum tangible and intangible heritage objects or monuments displayed in the museum (Mark  Walhimer , 2018).

can provide information about what happened in the past that can still be preserved as cultural heritage and become part of a nation's identity ( Fajar , 2016).

The technology advance, most of the historic buildings are converted to museums and gallery but fewer people are interested to visit the museum. The technology advance also being a lead of the young generation being more like to stay at home and watch TV or use social media rather than go out or go to visit the museums because the social media and internet have more details introduction on the historical cultural. The is one of the issue of young people don’t like to visit the museums, they said is too boring to go to the museum.

Aim, Objectives & Questions. The main aim of this research is to improve the service quality of museums by using the HISTOQUAL model to assess the visitors' satisfaction. The case study chosen is historical buildings converted to the museum by adaptive reuse that is museum Insitu Jugra and Kuala Selangor museum..

To recommend the ways to improve museums' service quality and attract visitors go to museums based on visitors' satisfaction.

Objectives Methodology Sampling To study the service quality of adaptive reuse buildings that have been converted to museums. Literature view Case studies - To evaluate the museum service quality using the HISTOQUAL model to measure visitors’ satisfaction. Observation & interview Questionnaire survey 2 corporate of museum manager 40 respondents with different age levels  To recommend the ways to improve museums' service quality and attract visitors go to museums based on visitors' satisfaction. Conclusion. In conclusion, this research is expected to find the issues why the public doesn't interest in the museum. The strategy used in this research can help to measure the service quality of museums and then improve museum service quality and resolute the problem of visitors doesn’t interest in museums. The museum service quality is using HISTOQUAL model to collect data..
