Good Day, everyone. Today I will be discussing the BFP Bangar Fire Station in La Union's impressive review and analysis of their CY 2023 First Semester Program. Their performance far exceeded expectations and presented a positive variance of 130.32%. I will explain how this impressive result was achieved by analyzing the data, reviewing the process, and reviewing best practices.

Functional Training Profile. Our review and analysis program for the first semester of CY 2023 revealed that, BFP Bangar Fire Station has 15 personnel: 9 male and 6 female. 1 male on FBRC training and another one on Detached Service at Regional headquarters Which gives us a total of 13 personnel. 6 personnel per shift: 3 male, 3 female.

With the focus on fire prevention, we conducted a total of 1,358 inspections, which was significantly higher than the original target of 1,042 inspections. This was due to the collaboration and support of business owners and clients. The data indicates a positive variance for all the inspected establishments - including assembly, educational, day care, healthcare, residential board and care, detention and correctional, mercantile, business, industrial, storage, and special structure establishments - which all meets the fire safety standards.

The BFP Bangar Fire Station in La Union takes fire prevention very seriously. In the first semester of CY 2023, they conducted Fire Prevention for the new building/Occupancy exceeding its target of 9 inspection with 20 inspections. The program's efficiency was highlighted by an astonishing 222.22% accomplishment.

The comparative inspection data of the BFP Bangar Fire Station in La Union for the CY 2023 1st semester data shows a 124.01% increase. Table data showed that the inspection targets have been exceeded in all six months of the first semester, and that the fire code fees collection has also increased.

The BFP Bangar Fire Station in La Union has achieved an impressive accomplishment of reducing the number of fire incidents in the first semester of 2023 to zero. To make this happen, they took measures such as improving electrical connection safety and reducing incidents related to lighted matches and lighters. This had a significant influence on structured fire incidents, including residential, mercantile, and storage, which saw a decrease from 3 incidents in CY 2022 to 0 in CY 2023.

Analysis of the data collected by Bureau of Fire Protection Bangar Fire Station in La Union on causes of fire for 2020-2023 has revealed interesting results. Electrical connection was the leading cause of fire in the past year, yet this year it has dropped to 0%. We have also seen a decrease in electrical machinery, spontaneous combustion, and unattended cooking/stove fires. It is evident that the public needs to be educated and informed on the consequences of open flame. Implementing preventative measures is key to decreasing the chance of fires in the future.

BFP Bangar Fire Station had success in lower the amount of emergency response activities, contributing to a more secure environment for the community.

Workshops for the Community Fire Protection Plan and organization of Fire Auxiliary Group were carried out during the First quarter of this year. Bangar Fire Station recorded 3 trained and organized Barangay, ready and prepared as partners in fire prevention and fire suppression efforts. Activities such as House to House survey, lecture, fire truck visibility, distribution of flyers, and media engagements for information dissemination were also conducted.

The Bangar Fire Station observed the Business One Stop Shop program to simplify the processing of business and building permits for businesses in Bangar, La Union. This program not only saves time but also ensures that businesses adhere to regulations.

Personnel of BANGAR FIRE STATION is committed to safeguarding its firefighters and the people of the community. To ensure that firefighters are equipped to take on any unexpected emergency, drills are held every three months. Through these regular drills, our firefighters can ensure they are offering the highest standard of service.

Typhoons are becoming more frequent and intense, making it essential to review and analyze our fire safety infrastructure. Monitoring water levels during typhoons is crucial for guaranteeing the safety of local homes. Assessing the water levels allows us to take necessary preventative measures and minimize the impact of the typhoon.

The Fire Prevention Month is observed by virtue of Presidential Proclamation 115-A, series of 1966, issued by then President Ferdinand E. Marcos. BFP Bangar La Union joins the month-long celebration of Fire Prevention Month every March yearly to increase people's awareness of safety issues and in order to make our communities aware of the risks and ways to prevent them, and to ensure current safety measures are always in place.

BFP Bangar Fire Station – La Union emphasizes its commitment to fighting drug abuse and illicit trafficking. We recognize the considerable damage caused to our communities by these activities. To reduce the number of drug-related crimes, we are implementing educational, enforcement, and prevention initiatives.

BFP Bangar Fire Station has been working hard to ensure the safety of the residents of their area of responsibility in La Union during Semana Santa holiday. Personnel of the station monitored and inspected resorts and barangay command posts. These proactive steps taken by the Bureau will help to ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday season for everyone within their AOR.

BFP BANGAR FIRE STATION – LA UNION is pleased to report that the CY 2023 First Semester Construction of Garage has been funded by the Local Government Unit (LGU). This marks an important milestone in our pledge to ensure safety and protection of the community we serve. This funding provides us with the necessary resources to provide the best possible fire protection services to citizens of Bangar and the surrounding areas.

The construction of a Fire Station Garage provides an ideal location for the storage of various fire tools and equipment, ensuring that they are quickly accessible when needed.

For issues and concerns BFP BANGAR FIRE STATION includes the replacement of the aging firetruck with a brand new one, as well as requests to the higher office for the provision of personnel, communication equipment, and computer set and printer. Additionally, we are requesting that the building contractor address the leaking rooftop and improve the lighting fixtures. The goal of all these efforts is to achieve a safe and comfortable environment for both the firefighters and the surrounding communities.
