WEEKLY VALUE FOCUS WEEK 16: FAITH Core Value: Spirituality

[Audio] Good Morning. Welcome to our values restoration program. Our weekly value focus for today is faith with the core value : spirituality.

[Audio] As coded from Isaiah chapter fifty-one verse one. "Look to the rock from which you were cut, and the quarry from which you were dug".

[Audio] A father commissioned his daughter to carry out what others consider as an impossible mission. The daughter, feeling incompetent and unskilled to do such, went to accomplish her assignment anyway. Impossible as it may seem, the assignment was completed on time. When the daughter returned to her father, she asked, "Father, you knew from the very start that I did not have the right training and skills for the mission you sent me to do. Why did you send me anyway?" To her surprise, her father replied, "I knew fully well that you were incompetent, unskilled and young. However, I saw things in you that you were not able to see. I saw obedience and resilience beyond measure for you to complete the mission. I have faith in you.".

[Audio] Often, we doubt our ability to make a difference in our own sphere of influence. As a result, we leave the seemingly gigantic tasks to those whom we perceive are able and skilled. Then circumstances occur where we realize that God can accomplish so much using our lives. Suddenly, our eyes open to the reality that we are not moving on our own but as God directs us to do. Then we realize that we are meant not only for ordinary things but also for greatness..

[Audio] "Look to the rock from which you were cut, and the quarry from which you were dug." Our identity is not based on what we can do or even on what we can acquire. "Our background does not even determine our foreground." Who we are depends on whose DNA is flowing in our blood. Our identity is based on the One we represent, the One we carry. We are not moving on our own. This is the reason why we should not hesitate to take on whatever assignment is given to us in our respective domains. "He who began a good work in us will bring it to completion.".

[Audio] If we are chosen to carry a task, that means we are approved to function. The ones who chose us did not do so without reason at all. They must have seen who we are and what they can do through our lives. They have faith in us. They faith in our generation. There is no accident in life. Everything happens for a reason. If God has chosen us, is there anything too difficult for Him to do through us? He created the heavens, the earth and everything in them. He made hard hearts soft and proud heads humble. He set men as kings and brought down those in power. Is there anything he cannot do through our lives? The next time we are tempted to doubt, let's remember - God has faith that we can do it!.

[Audio] Action Plan: From this day forward, we will never doubt what God can accomplish through our lives. Together with our families, we will always put God first in all our dealings. In the office, we will make sure that faith is enhanced in our daily tasks and in the activities we organize. As citizens of the Philippines, we will live up to our identity as the only Christian nation in the region, not only in words but in deeds..

[Audio] Declaration: We are a generation full of faith. We are aware that the God who elects is the God who makes all things beautiful in His time. With faith, we believe that transformation will happen in the Philippines. We see a nation overflowing with abundance in the natural and in the spirit. We believe that we are the new generation of leaders occupying strategic positions, the new breed of statesmen and stateswomen who will build and establish not for ourselves but for the next generation. So, help us God..

[Audio] Let us pray. Lord, thank You for Your faith that enables us to function according to Your will. We ask that as we work for the transformation of our nation, we will do exactly according to Your timeline. Help us to move and have our being in You, trusting Your heart instead of our capabilities. Help us to focus on what You can accomplish through us and not on our own weaknesses and limitations. When times get rough, help us to see from Your perspective and understand the purpose of every situation. All these in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen..
