The 216 respondents were purposively selected consisted of barangay officials, namely: barangay captain tanods , kagawads , EX-O, clerks, treasurer, secretary, and Violence against Women and Children Officer (VAWC) who have been handling juvenile delinquents..

Data Analysis Descriptive statistics was used in the statistical treatment of data. The frequency percentage distribution is used to determine the profile of the respondents, the common cases/forms committed, possible causes of juvenile delinquency, actions taken by the barangay officials and the utilization of the findings. Weighted mean is used to determine the extent of contribution of the home factors, socio- economic factors, and environment factors to juvenile delinquency.

CONCLUSION. The Barangay officials who served as the respondents of the study are dominated by aged, matured, married individuals who are working either in the private sector, government sector and the rest have their own business. There are more male barangay officials than female. The causes of juvenile delinquency can be attributed to home, socio-economic, and environment factors. On the home factors, it focused on broken families, lack of supervision of parents, and poor home training/discipline/development. In the socio-economic factors, the number one cause is poverty, followed by lack of livelihood program for the youth, and failure of the parents to provide the basic needs of the youth. Further, the environment also influenced juvenile delinquency, specifically the influence of peers/friends, curiosity about the effects of drugs, gambling, and the absence of role models in their home and in the community..

CONCLUSION. The home, socio-economic and environmental factors contributed to a high extent in terms of occurrence of juvenile delinquency. The intervention programs undertaken to decrease the occurrence of juvenile delinquency are: implementation of curfew, maintenance of family bonding, spiritual enrichment, community and family welfare services, having socio-cultural activities, providing competency and life skills development, beautification of the surroundings/barangay. Curfew and parental/barangay counseling help decrease the occurrence of juvenile delinquency to a very high extent. Other programs related to spiritual enhancement, health services, competency and life skills development, and beautification of the barangay affects to a high extent in terms of decreasing of juvenile delinquency. A positive youth development plan is needed to help the young people prepare for a better life..

RECOMMENDATION. For the parents to inculcate discipline among their children by being a role model in everything they do and say. Further, they should maintain harmonious relationship in their family, try to do things that will augment their income to meet the family basic needs. For the barangay officials to continue with their efforts to monitor the activities of the young people in their jurisdiction. They may conduct seminars related to livelihood, development of skills, conduct activities where both parents and young people can showcase their skills in sports, singing, and dancing, and many more. In addition, they may invite non-government organizations to help them maximize the young people in their respective area through involvement in different projects and conduct job fairs in their barangay for better opportunities..

RECOMMENDATION. The young people should use their time productively by attending seminars – workshop that would help them develop their skills that could be of help in looking for a job. For the local government officials to consider the livelihood of their constituents, tapping organizations to help equip their people. For other researchers to conduct related studies on how to solve juvenile delinquency..
