exactly what the protagonist is thinking  No dialog  Only shows the characters perspective  The base text is also written in first person

Focus on characters development  Intro : introducing the town This rise: mask cracks  Climax : taking off mask  Falling action and resolution : her finding herself

Scene 4

Uses pathetic fallacy  “the trees stripped of their leaves danced with fear from the cold winter storm”  T his  symbolises  sadness  R oad  not taken  -  “two roads diverged in a yellow wood”  to “two roads diverged in a yellow wood” symbolises  autumn  Autumn  symbolises   an end or new begging   irony:  dancing and fear   The road not taken  uses the season autumn  to symbolise the end of a journey or new beings

Protagonist is seen as a  multi-facetted   She admired her mum:  “Everyone despised the fact that she was graceful and beautiful without one”      Cliché:   “How could I know if the grass was not greener on the other side”   The base text explores the concept of the unknown:  describing both the roads as “just as fair”

Purpose -  My purpose was to illustrate how many people hid behind a metaphorical mask and lose sight of who they are to feel included in society   How the road not taken inspired my narrative:             -  protagonists had to make a difficult decision and both chose            -    The road not taken  – symbolises life choices             -  The masquerade mask  – symbolises hiding your self to fit in
