Received material parts from customer for surface treatment process (Nitrocarburizing)
 Each pallet consists of 4,000 pcs and customer will send two pallets total of 8,000pcs
 All the parts should be heat treat in hanging method in a jig
 To set up each pieces on the jig is taking a lot of time consumption

Internally we had a meeting with supervisor and operators to overcome this issue Operators had highlighted few methods for further improvements After discussion we had decide to implement one of the method by using stainless steel rod  The benefit of this method is easy to slot in, re-usable rod and can be double up the quantity for each treatment

Based on the results, the production preparation time is reduce from 4hr to 2 hr for each pallet After implement new method, the labour cost also reduce to half The saving cost per treatment charges is double up

Based on the new implement method we are still in beginning stage to improve further on set up of the parts In future if the volume is getting better we would plan to make a new jig so that no back log in production
