Deviant in the physical world. Deviant behavior is defined as the behaviors that are contrary to to the dominant norms of a society. (Crossman, 2019).

Deviant in the digital or online world. Deviance in the virtual world is how sub culturists express themselves through online media. This is how people present their anonymous or non-anonymous identities to one another online. (Grinnell, 2018).

Compare and Contrast the two environments. Physical: Deviance is tangible Identified using the five senses Exists in the environments where people live Digital: The internet community Fake world paradigms are the order of the day Lies, impersonations, and falsified identity.

Various forms of deviance. Forms of physical deviance : -Violations of aesthetic norms -Physical incapacity Forms of digital deviance : -sexual deviance -self-harm cyber communities -hate groups -cyber stalking They impact society by weakening established social norms, and creates division and disorder (Grinnell, 2018).

How would Conflict Theory define deviance?. Conflict theory would define deviance as actions in which do not comply with social institutions. (Libre, 2021).

How would Symbolic Interaction Theory define deviance?.

Impact of deviance in digital world. The theories discussed have an impact the meaning on the digital world. Conflict theory: people conflict with one another all the time. In the digital world, they may be doing this because one wants to prove that they are better than the other. Online platforms regulate what can be said and what can not. Symbolic interaction theory: Deviant actions are performed from people because these actions were done to them at some point..

Impact on store. Deviance in the digital world can make a negative impact on the store Financial losses are a possibility due to hacking, fraud, and theft of data Such crimes may lead to a result to stolen information of recent customers, losing them as customers and creating a negative outlook of the company.

Managing various forms of deviance. Hiring a cyber security network company to protect the store and the customers information from being stolen Combat deviance with positive store outlooks across social media platforms Creating certain policies to help manage the way the technology within the store is used.
