PLAAFP. Jerry is a six-year-old student with Autism. Jerry displays occasional physical outbursts demonstrating his frustrations when needing to transition between activities at school. Jerry follows along with a visual schedule to better understand his daily routine. Jerry has learned to understand visual cues and reference a visual timer in order to progress in his ability to perform transitions. Jerry continues to make progress in regards to his ability to communicate as Jerry utilizes photos to communicate his requests and desires. According to Jerry’s parents, Jerry utilizes photos to communicate at home as well. When observed within school environments, Jerry limits his interactions with other students; however, Jerry does appreciate playing in close proximity to other students on the playground. Jerry displays developed gross motor skills well as Jerry is able to jump and enjoys climbing along with sliding down the slide..
