Scene 1 (0s)

[Audio] Acts of Charity by Karura Otsuka. Submitted by: Karura Otsuka Grade 7 – St. Joseph.

Scene 2 (14s)

[Audio] We must always keep kindness in our hearts and in our minds. It is our duty as Christians to help people in need. We must always be willing to extend a helping hand and not discriminate. We must learn to respect, appreciate and have compassion for all the people around us..

Scene 3 (36s)

[Audio] There are many ways by which we can help people and show how much we appreciate what they do for us. We can use our talents and hobbies to assist others and let them know how thankful we are. For me, I like baking so I baked some cookies to give to the security guards in our subdivision..

Scene 4 (57s)

[Audio] Once the cookies were baked, I packed them in individual packets to easily distribute them and to make sure that each security guard will have a pack of cookies and coffee they can eat and drink..

Scene 5 (1m 12s)

[Audio] Security guards have a difficult job and a very big responsibility. They keep everyone within their jurisdiction safe at all times even if their salary is low. They stay awake at night while everyone else is asleep. Not every person realizes how hard a security guard's job is and instead of thanking them sometimes they even get angry at them for doing their job..

Scene 6 (1m 38s)

[Audio] Security guards are also responsible for checking every part of the premises including buildings and parks to prevent danger. In our subdivision, security guards go around the whole vicinity at regular hours. They check every house including those that are being built to assure everyone is safe and secure..

Scene 7 (2m 0s)

[Audio] Security guards also monitor every individual and vehicle that pass through the main gate. This is another way for them to safeguard the lives of those residing within the subdivision..

Scene 8 (2m 14s)

[Audio] The act of giving does not require any age. Anyone can help someone at anytime. We should always be grateful for everything we have including the people around us. Sharing is good for the soul, so share what you can. A simple smile can help uplift someone's spirit..
