Farmers not being open to shifting to different cultivation methods In order for such actions to succeed, local communities and farmers in particular need to be open to and willing to shift to more climate friendly and sustainable practices that will help them fight the effects of climate change.

Increasing awareness in your local communities and schools Educating famers on ways to adapt to climate change in order to reduce loss and damage to crops and on ways to cultivate in a climate friendly manner Challenges, 1. Reduced climate literacy in rural areas and language barriers could occur 2. Financial aid in order to conduct programs to educate people on the effects of climate change Policymakers can assist in terms of financial aid as well as addressing such urgent issues in government and beginning to make a change.
