[Audio] Hello Everyone. We are delighted to discuss about the challenging project that we have successfully completed. i.e BT PDF estimate analysis and reporting. I would like to share few insights of the case study that would be helpful for everyone..

[Audio] Business team came up with a problem statement that consisted of extracting data from the PDF, comparing it, analyzing the information, and sending a report back with the appropriate decision. When carried manually, the procedure could take a long time and may also end up in human error..

[Audio] Based on our prior experiences automating PDFs, we had number of challenges in our mind which are firstly OCRs (Optical Character Recognition). OCRs are the functionality available in Automation tool to extract the information. The OCRs accuracy and errors are common challenges in PDF automation because they may not always accurately recognize and extract text from PDF files. On the other hand ,Complex structured documents pose specific challenges in achieving accurate results and extracting meaningful information..

[Audio] We had several approaches before automating the process. First off Buying a License of a Third party applications which are readily available in the market. Secondly, An application developed by us to extract the nessasry information and then integrate blue prism to carry out the remaining tasks. We opted the second option of developing our own application using .net and other programming logics, since it is cost effective, more accurate and can be Reusable across other automation opportunities..

[Audio] This process is designed to run entirely in the background with the long-term goal of operating this bot without ever having to deal with UI issues. An application to extract the PDF's Information is developed and placed in a common folder. The PDFs received through an email is run through the application to extract the necessary information with the help of Blue prism. The extracted information is compared against the criteria sheet placed in the Teams channel. Lastly, An email containing the report will be sent back to the business based on the decision made..

[Audio] Coming to the Deliveries, success ratio and benefits. We went live on 29th of March, so far more than 500 PDFs have been completed succesfully without any issues projecting the yearly savings 540 Hrs/year. Along with that we have saved 75% of the Licensing cost by developing our own application instead of purchasing the third party. Business team are happy with the outcome. Consistent deliveries and accuracy is something that impressed the customers. For sure, The accomplishment of this project creates new automation prospects for the whole industry..
