Loss of hard earned foreign currency due to import of Borax Decahydrate Granular Indian Customers ‘s attraction and fancy for imported products which lead to continuous import of the product Loss of local employment and labour Local development of industries are at a stake Misuse of Agriculture Licence- this is one of the major problems we are facing as a country, especially the farmers of our country. Importers use the benefit of agriculture licence by paying 5% custom duty on this product but they sell their consignments to the industries at a market price using a benefit of 5% already which they have saved by not paying 10% to the customs. They make money out of this entire manipulation and it’s the farmers who suffer by paying extra money ..

Annual import of borax decahydrate is approximately 30,000mt in India which is draining a lot of foreign currencies, and to convert borax pentahydrate to borax decahydrate we are just increasing water moelcules in borax pentahydrate from 5H20 to 10H20 . So basically in a simple language we are just paying dollars to foreign nations for adding water. This will not only save our Indian rupee from depreciating but also solve the problem of unemployment in our country and states. This will also make our country to start a journey towards “ atma nirbhar bharat ” Farmers will be able to procure “ made in India ” borax decahydrate at a comparitively lower price than the imported borax decahydrate Industrialisation will take place for an imported product which is highly consumed in the country It will also fulfil the latest agenda of our country “vocal for local”`.

We are a micro unit which started its operation in 2017 and have faced a lot of problems in the marketing of this product due to customer’s preferences for imported product We have not taken any kind of loans from any kind of banks or institutions, we are running this company for more than 2years now without outsourced funds with a monthly capacity of just 15MT per month Due to shortage of funds we are not able to expand our unit which is very much our requirement to penetrate the market further We approached local banks for funds and loans 6months back but we were not helped at all and things keep delaying on their part We are using old machines for our manufacturing process due to lack of finance.

We are expecting some funds from the government in “ ATMA NIRBHAR BHARAT ABHIYAN“ We are expecting a ban on the import of Borax Decahydrate Granular from foreign countries , especially China , or, atleast impose an anti dumping duty on this product and raise the duty from 10% to 25% so that local people get demotivated to buy at a higher price and shift their preferences to the local made borax decahyrdate We are also expecting you to stop giving agriculture benefits of 5% custom duty as well as 12% GST(as against 18% GST that other buyers need to pay) to the importers to stop them from manipulating and stealing duties and taxes If we are helped with some funds we can adopt ourselves to work in a modernised manner with a better technical know- how.
