[Audio] I was part of a group assigned to develop an animation to help promote Nike's Raise Your Voice campaign. We created the animation called Song of Nike which was a success. We used Inside Cards® to facilitate the design, production and distribution, allowing us to get the message across efficiently and quickly. It was a great experience working together to develop the animation from conception to completion and I'm proud of what we achieved. [Audio] Today I'm here to share my experience and success in corporate training. Corporate training goes far beyond merely providing knowledge to the employees. It needs to be flexible, innovative and playful. It needs to be feasible, inspiring and practical. But most of all, corporate training has to be holistic, so that it can truly impact and empower the employees. With this holistic approach, corporate training can lead to personal and professional growth for the employees..

02. About the HKMA Award.

[Audio] I wanted to share my journey towards the Outstanding New Trainer Award by the Hong Kong Management Association. To be eligible, I had to submit a written component, which was assessed by the judges, and give a 10-minute short training presentation. After the rigorous assessment, I was amongst the select few to receive the award, which is seen as the "Oscar Award" of the training and development industry. I was able to gain valuable lessons, recognition, and a larger network from the experience..

[Audio] I am extremely proud to announce that I have been awarded the Outstanding Trainer Award. This award was given to me in recognition of my 10-minute Signature Program Presentation entitled "Team Leader DNA Training Series". I described the techniques and strategies I use to deliver training material to a team effectively, and demonstrated how I have successfully trained team members to become better leaders and to maximise their natural skills. It was an amazing opportunity and I am grateful for the recognition..

Having the right goals and objectives in place is key to achieving durable results and accomplishing projects. Based on these teachings, I constructed a workshop concentrating on evaluating training and development techniques of some of the top organizations. I am proud to report that my workshop was successful. It was centered on presentation capabilities, appearance, gestures, and diction. With these components, I created a comprehensive, engaging, and successful workshop which aided in the learning and improvement of the participants..

[Audio] As a new trainer, I faced numerous challenges. Adapting to the different expectations of an organization, acquainting myself with new skills, establishing limits with trainees, as well as dealing with various learning styles were some of the trying situations I had to come to terms with. Nonetheless, with commitment and effort, I was able to overcome these obstacles while gaining invaluable lessons in the process. I am proud to have achieved the HKMA Training & Development Excellence Awards Outstanding Trainer Award and eager to impart my knowledge to further trainees in the future..

[Audio] It can be daunting to have to train someone who is more experienced than you, but strong communication skills can help to create a successful training session. Our group project, Song of Nike, demonstrated this. Even though we faced the issue of not having much real-life experience and lacked a shared language, we managed to overcome this by focusing on the 4 main challenges. We also made sure that our manager was aware of their role in the bigger picture, as well as the specific details. This resulted in the successful delivery of the training..

My approach is to equip each trainer with the necessary tools to provide the best possible training experience to students. Recently, I worked on an animation group project where our challenge was to train people who were more experienced than most of the team. To overcome this, I had to ensure a common language was established between us and gain the manager's approval for the 'Big Picture'. Despite the difficulty, I was able to lead the team to success in creating and delivering the song of Nike. By rising to challenges and going beyond what is expected of trainers, we can guarantee that they reach their best potential..

I planned carefully to ensure they were given clear instructions and objectives. To ensure communication was successful, I had to bridge the gap between the lack of real-life experience and common language. [Audio] I had to develop my confidence to present in front of groups of people, lack real-life experience and common language to better understand the learning objectives, and think from a top-level perspective to gain buy-in from my manager - these were the three major challenges I had to face in my journey to become an outstanding trainer.
