It shall plan, develop, prescribe, disseminate, and enforce policies, rules and regulations, and coordinate government-wide programs governing the production of official statistics, general purpose statistics, civil registration services and inclusive identification system. It shall primarily be responsible for all national censuses and surveys, sectoral statistics, community-based statistics, consolidation of selected administrative recording systems, and compilation of national accounts..

[Audio] In May 2021, the Updated Philippine Core Gender and Development ( GAD) Indicators were approved and adopted by the PSA Board through PSA Board Resolution Number 08, Series of 2021. The Core GAD indicators framework serves as the basis in the generation and analysis of gender and development indicators in the country. The updating of the Philippine Core GAD indicators took into consideration the various GAD indicators systems such as the United Nations Statistics Division ( UNSD) Minimum Core Set of Gender Indicators, UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific ( ESCAP) Regional Core Set of Gender Indicators and Ministerial Declaration, the Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs), Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation ( APEC) Women and Economy Dashboard, and the Gender Equality and Women Empowerment ( GEWE) Indicators. Establishment of the Interagency Committee on Violence against Women and Children ( IAC-VAWC) The main considerations for the indicators to be included in the updated list of Philippine Core GAD are: ( 1) regular availability of data or there are current and concrete efforts being done to make them available; and ( 2) relevance of the indicators, either as part of the original Core GAD Indicators Framework approved in 2001, or is included in at least four of the gender indicator systems mentioned above. Furthermore, the PSA shall regularly monitor the updated list of Core GAD indicators through the annual updating of the Factsheet on Women and Men, and the Statistical Handbook on Women and Men in the Philippines. Moreover, all concerned government agencies are enjoined to provide the necessary data support to monitor these indicators. [Audio] The Government Best Practice Recognition ( GBPR) is an initiative of the Development Academy of the Philippines ( DAP) to promote and showcase outstanding and innovative practices demonstrated by the public sector organizations. It is one of the Academy's strategy responses to the rising call for public sector organizations to further enhance the quality of service delivery. The GBPR annually recognizes successful and validated practices demonstrated by public sector organizations. Government institutions at all levels of governance and all fields of practices are invited every year to submit their institutions' best practice. As one of the components of the Academy's Business Excellence Program, which also include the Philippine Quality Award ( PQA) and the Government Excellence Class ( GEC), the GBPR supplements and complements the Academy's efforts to improve organizational productivity and performance in the public sector by recognizing innovative best practices of government institutions and organizations. The Academy has developed a set of criteria for evaluating remarkable government practices. Entries from government organizations are assessed based on these criteria to select the government institutions that will participate in the presentation and have the chance to be recognized for the year. Since 2015, a total of eighteen ( 18) entries have already been chosen and recognized. In 2017, Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Office I won the government best practice the Juan Click Info System - Module on e-Notification: Addressing Queues & Verifying Status of Documents.

[Audio] Another Service is the PSA Online Appointment System Here are the steps in setting an appointment with PSA. Step 1: Choose the PSA CRS outlet where you would like to set an appointment. If you are in NCR and requesting for a PSA certificate that underwent Court Decrees and Legal Instruments for the first time, book an appointment at East Avenue. Step 2: Provide your name, email address, and mobile number. The PSA will send a copy of your appointment sheet via email. You will receive a verification code on the email address. Step 3: Select the type of PSA certificate that you would like to request. If you are requesting for someone else, please indicate their names and your relationship to the certificate owner. Step 4: Choose the date and time when you plan to visit your chosen PSA outlet. Step 5: Take note of the important details of the appointment. Double-check that your name, email address, and mobile number on the screen are all accurate. It is important your name matches your ID exactly. Use your complete full name, no initials. Step 6: You will receive a copy of your Appointment Slip via email. Please save the PDF file on your phone or print it out. You will need to print the entire form including the QR code. Step 7: Go to your chosen PSA outlet on the date of your appointment. Be at the outlet's premises on time or a few minutes earlier. [Audio] Another innovation is the e-Classification Mobile App is an android mobile search engine application that can be used by the public and private sectors for searching codes in the Philippine standard classification systems used in categorizing economic activities, products and services, geographic codes, among others. The following are the available statistical standard classifications in the e-Classification mobile app: 2015 Philippine Standard Commodity Classification ( PSCC) – is a detailed classification of all commodities that enter the Philippine trade 2012 Philippine Standard Occupational Classification ( PSOC) – is a classification of the different occupations of the working population including the military workforce of the country 2009 Philippine Standard Industrial Classification ( PSIC) – is a classification of industries prevailing in the country according to their specific economic activities 2009 Philippine Classification of Individual Consumption According to Purpose ( PCOICOP) – is a classification of individual consumption expenditures on goods and services 2008 Philippine Standard Classification of Education ( PSCEd) – is a classification of all educational levels in the Philippine educational system Philippine Standard Geographic Classification ( PSGC) – is a systematic classification and coding of the geographic areas in the country.

[Audio] OpenSTAT is an open data platform powered by PC- Axis, a user-friendly application for presenting statistical data and metadata coupled with API and visualization features. This system allows the PSA to share data under an open data license where data can be freely used, re-used and redistributed by anyone without any restrictions other than proper source attribution. The data that will be extracted are the following Demographic and Social Statistics Population and Migration Labor and Employment Income and Consumption Economic statistics Economic Accounts Services Statistics Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries Trade: International Merchandise and Domestic Prices Tourism Energy Mining, Manufacturing, Construction Labor Cost Environment and multi-domain statistics Environment Child Poverty Information Society Sustainable Development Goals Decent Work.
