Mauritius Telecom Computer Usage Policy Awareness

Access to the internet and Email system is with respect to fair usage and for better performance toward the official company business. MT reserves the right to clean and restrict access to individuals where internet and email should their use be judged excessive

Devices and Data provided to users remains the property of MT group and may be recovered, replaced and re-used at anytime. Employees should not disclose information relating to the Mauritius Telecom's IT facilities to anyone outside the company, without the company's permission Confidentiality should prevail at all time. All devices provided to users should be kept safely. Unauthorised access to system is prohibited. User to always access authorised system using unique USERID and Password. All system should be password protected and never be left unattended. Installation /copying is subject to approval and is protected by copyright law. Secure system with complex Password Users to ensure neat and tidy computer environment. Ensure Visual Privacy

Electronic media cannot be used for knowingly transmitting, retrieving, or storing any communication that is:  Discriminatory or harassing Derogatory to any individual or group  Obscene, sexually explicit Defamatory or threatening Engaged in for any purpose that is illegal or contrary to Mauritius Telecom policies or business interests

The Computer Usage Policy covers the appropriate use of the computer resources with emphasis on the fact that users have the responsibility to use these resources in a professional, ethical, and lawful manner. This policy applies to all users of Computer equipment within the MT group
