This PNP MC prescribes the guidelines, policies and procedures for the standard execution of Police Honors which shall be strictly observed by all PNP units and offices..

Police Honors- render personal honor to person with high rank position upon arrival or departure..

[Audio] Honors- ceremonies rendered to dignitary, police/military, and civilian of high rank or position, either a local or foreign individual, as a manifestation of special courtesy. Dais- an elevated platform where the honoree and police host stand to give them distinction and prominence. Honoree - a person entitled to Police Honors. A high ranking local/foreign military/police officers and civilian dignitaries as a gesture of courtesy and a tribute to his rank and/or position. Police Host- an officer designated to escort and receive the honoree..

[Audio] Gun Salute is a volley of fire rendered as part of the Police Honors in specific instances. Ex: artillery/riffle Salute Battery - refers to the set of guns being used to render gun salute in a designated saluting station. Saluting Station refers to camps, posts, national shrines, and other designated places where firing of guns may be rendered..

[Audio] Honor Guard Formation- consists of band, colors, salute battery (if required), and a contingent of honor guards tasked to render personal honors to person/s entitled upon arrival/departure to/from a police camp saluting station.
