While amendments in the PNP Manuals on Drills and Ceremonies, and Protocol on Social Graces are ongoing, this PNP MC will effect the changes being introduced, and thereafter be adopted in the revised manual..

The honoree acknowledges the salute, steps down from the dais with the host. HGC escorts GOH with the host taking position at the left side of the honoree for the inspection of the honor guards. As they approach the band, Police Host switches position to the right of the HGC. Six (6) paces before the colors, the HGC cautions the GOH, “PINUNO, ANG MGA WATAWAT, Pugay Kamay, NA.” The HGC, honoree and host execute hand salute. Three (3) steps after the colors, the HGC commands “Handa HARAP” The HGC, honoree and host drop their hand salute. They continue marching up to the last element of the honor guard where the HGC peels off and proceeds to his position in front of his staff. The host switches his position to the left of the honoree as they march directly to their original positions at the dais..

At the approach (about three steps) of the honored guest and host, the cordon commander commands “Tanghal, TA.” and the cordon simultaneously executes present arms. When the honored guest has entered the conveyance, the cordon commander commands “Baba, TA.” and remains in place until the conveyance has departed.
