'M. 3D Printing of a structural element. Toilet Module made for L&T Constructions,Chennai. This was specifically designed for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan as a demonstration structure. Optimized printing strategies for higher structural integrity First attempt with steel reinforcements Concrete used as structural component with minimum steel support.

DJ!JJjj}. 3D Printed roof. First attempt at 3D Printing a reinforced roof Printed using external formwork as support Continuously printed over the toilet module Slab thickness of 100 mm Printing sacrificial formwork for the roof is realised to be the best strategy to use henceforth.

Printing with Steel reinforcements. Currently using post placement of reinforcement technique which involves re-printing sacrificial formwork where rebar is grouted in the required place Collaboration with TATA Projects allowed us to experiment and print around the pre-placed reinforcement Fiber added to the mix design to add to the tensile capacity of concrete and protect it from plastic shrinkage.

Proposed Methodologies. 2 methodologies can be employed for the 3D printing of structures: Onsite 3D Printing Solution ⇒ Robotic-Arm based 3D Printer directly prints the structures at the site of building itself. Offsite 3D Printing Solution ⇒ Offsite 3D Printer prints all the modules of the structures away from the site of building, which are subsequently assembled at the site..

Page 18 (3m 13s)

Plan of Action: Method 1 (On-Site). Robotic-Arm Based 3D Printer Scope finalization ⇒ Foundation, Superstructure, MEP, Utilities Site Survey Design Finalization and approval Transport of 3D Printer, Design Mix & Buy-Outs to Site. 3D Print both structures directly at site within specified time. Finishing of both structures as per the necessary specifics..

Page 19 (3m 31s)

Timeline: Method 1 (On-Site). 15 days ⇒ Day 30 Foundation execution at site.

Page 20 (3m 53s)

Plan of Action: Method 2 (Off-Site). Off-Site 3D Printing Solution Scope finalization ⇒ Foundation, Superstructure, MEP, Utilities Site Survey Design Finalization and approval Transport of Offsite 3D printer to nearby location from Chennai (to a nearby area allocate for manufacturing way from site). 3D Print all the required modules within specified time for both Structure-1 & Structure-2. Storage of all the modules in a warehouse near the site Transportation of modules to the site of construction. Assembly and finishing as per necessary specifics. Transport of the 3D Printer back to Chennai from Sikkim post successful construction..
