Company Overview. Began in 1989 with 17 employees Currently 350 employees Landscaping expertise and resources concentrated in large planned communities (HOA’s) We maintain 30 planned communities and have a contract with the City of Phoenix.

[Audio] Not familiar with equipment, don't touch it until fully trained This is the reason we have you do safety training first Annual picnic is for employee + family. Fun event to say thank you to our employees. Usually takes place Sept or Oct of each year. Expected to be here 40 hours a week. OT is not mandatory.

Sometimes the so-called minor injury develops into a serious infection or complicated condition. Flag broken equipment so it can be repaired and not go out broken the next day again..
[Audio] -A scheduled absence usually involves the completion, submission, and approval from supervisor to be absent prior to the actual absence. -An unscheduled absence is an absence from work without prior approval from the supervisor/manager. -You are considered tardy when you are late for the beginning of a scheduled shift, or leave a scheduled shift early. -Too many unscheduled absences and tardiness will affect your performance reviews, wage increases and disciplinary action will be taken up to and including termination -Resignation - provide an advance notice so you will be eligible for rehire ( anything less than 1 week will leave you ineligible for rehire) -Call in procedures - use provided contact card which provides yard phone numbers - LOA's: No paid leave FMLA - May take up to 12 weeks of FMLA leave during any 12-month period to care for medical qualifying event (yourself, your spouse, child or parent) Military leave – Qualifying Exigency ( need or emergency) may take up to 12 weeks of FMLA leave during any 12-month period to address the most common issues that arise when a military member is deployed to a foreign country. FMLA & Military qualifications – employed 12 months and 1250 hours worked ( request leave through HR) Personal Leave ( non medical) Request through your manager **Must be approved by Field & Branch Managers.

[Audio] -Overtime- Must be approved ahead of time by management - At the end of the week verify your timesheet have your correct hours logged - Week is Sunday through Saturday -Direct Deposit is required: Checking, savings or Skylight paycard Paystubs emailed every Friday and can print in lobby. We need an email address provided. If you do not receive your 1st paystub, see the front office coordinator to ensure we have the email address correct on file. *** HR Rep: Please verify email addresses***.
[Audio] Talk about different departments tree, spray, SP, water, corporate and shop area Training programs for cart operators, crew leads, foreman, spray techs, sometimes irrigator apprentice See an office coordinator for an internal application Discuss with your Foreman or Field Manager about promotions or interest. Substance Abuse/Drug Screen Policy. It is the policy of DLC Resources that the unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensation, possession or use of a controlled substance in the workplace is prohibited. Can’t be under influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance. Violators will be terminated Please speak with HR regarding prescription medication Reasons we may conduct a drug screen: Pre-Employment Post Accident Reasonable Suspicion Random Testing.
[Audio] Verbally, offensive and insulting comments, sounds, jokes, pranks and gestures. There are whistles and grunts that are considered insulting The way in which you complement someone can be considered insulting (i.e. you look nice today vs. you look hot in the that dress or tight jeans) Email jokes and comments when forwarded to others is now out of your control. They can forward to someone else or bring up later when they may not be getting along with you. Not sure if a behavior is appropriate? The "not sure" test is helpful. Ask yourself: -Would your act our behavior it in front of your boss? -How would you feel if your family or close friend were subjected to the same words or behavior?.

[Audio] Our drive time policy applies for those who have been hired as a driver. An active DL with an acceptable MVR is a requirement in order to be considered for any driving position. All drivers are eligible for travel time pay and will be paid for approved time spent traveling to and from a property over 30min. Please refer to your company handbook for more information..
[Audio] Crew Members- no hats with logos of teams or sports (acceptable or plain or DLC hats) Additional shirts are $ 12.50 a shirt You are responsible for long pants & work boots PPE is also provided. Need to ensure they have with them everyday Resources for Boots if necessary: St Joseph's the Worker, SNAP Help.

[Audio] - You have the option to buy up on the life insurance if you would like to. - We at least need a beneficiary named if no other benefits are selected. More information will be provided in Benefit Packet. In the folder You have 30 days to make elections, begin paying at 60 days, in effect after 90 days 2 Forms to select benefits: Website or calling 1- 844 #.
Referral Bonus Program. DLC is growing and looking for employees just like you! ½ of Bonus paid at 30 Days and other ½ at 90 Days of referred employees time with DLC EARN MONEY – DLC Referral Bonus All Crew members including Special Projects and Tree Crew members - $400 Irrigator, Spray Tech, Tree Climber, Crew Lead, All Shop positions - $600 Any Administrative - $500 Branch and Field Managers - $700 All Foreman - $800.
[Audio] Employees that have been with the company less than 30 days at the end of the quarter are not eligible to earn the QACB Employees that have been with the company more than 30 days, but less than 90 days, at the end of the quarter are eligible to receive 50% of the QACB position group amount.
