[Audio] We present the Bureau of Fire Protection Region 1 for the 3rd Quarter Program Review and Analysis 1st Semester 2024 for CY 2022. We share with you the Accomplishment Report for fire PREVENTION (Inspection for NEW BUILDING/OCCUPANCY) for 1st Semester CY 2024..

[Audio] We conducted 502 inspections in the first semester of 2023 surpassing our target of 420 achieving a percentage accomplishment of 170.48% and with fire code fees collected totaling to ₱443 871.00..

[Audio] 1. Accomplishment Report for Bureau of Fire Protection Region 1. The table indicates that we handled one (1) fire call at a residential bungalow in Brgy. Paguraper Sto Domingo Ilocos Sur. The cause of fire was a child playing with a lighter and the case has been closed. We have decreased the incidence of fire through increased fire safety inspection and community involvement..

[Audio] 2024 was a successful year for our firefighters as there were no casualties during our fire call responses. Our team has always been dedicated to ensuring the safety of the community and implementing a proactive approach to fire safety. [Audio] Electrical connection was identified as the top cause of fire followed by others such as garbage/rubbish/grass fire tobacco barn and electrical post. In terms of structural fires business/government offices were identified as the top cause. There was a decrease in total fire incidents and occupancy compared to the previous year..

[Audio] Our Enhanced Community Monitoring program has been successful in reducing fire incidents in our region. We have seen a significant increase in community involvement and participation in our fire prevention programs and activities through our K-A-I-S-A Program. By providing communities with the necessary information and resources we have seen an increase in community involvement and participation in our fire prevention programs and activities. We believe that the O-L-P as Strategy to Reduce Fire Incidents is an effective tool in reducing fire incidents in our region..

[Audio] During the 1st Semester CY 2024 there was a 75% decrease in fire incidents compared to the same period in the previous year. There were no emergency response rescue operational/disasters recorded during the 1st Semester 2024 which represents a 100% decrease compared to the previous year. However there was a 34% increase in vehicular accidents reported compared to the 1st Semester 2023. In terms of medical cases there was a 100% increase compared to the same period in the previous year. The data presented will provide an interpretation and analysis of the findings as well as a discussion of the variance (%) of the data compared to the previous year..

[Audio] Our program has been recognized for exceptional performance in emergency medical services and coastal clean-up efforts. We continue to provide necessary medical assistance to any rescue and emergency calls and our E-M-S personnel are committed to fulfilling our mandate to protect the health and safety of our constituents. Our monthly coastal clean-up efforts in partnership with national and local organizations demonstrate our commitment to protect the environment and respond to climate change..

[Audio] We have taken actions to address the issues and concerns encountered in the F-S-I-S system. Our regional office has requested training for users of the F-S-I-S system to familiarize them with its features. We have proposed solutions to the national headquarters including the establishment of a dedicated support team to assist with technical issues and concerns and the implementation of a feedback mechanism. The F-S-I-S system will no longer experience lagging significantly hindering its efficiency and usability. The system will be more suitable for facilitating ease of doing business as it will not prolong the time required to complete various process of applications. We will continue to work towards improving the F-S-I-S system and ensuring that it meets the needs of our organization and our stakeholders..

[Audio] We currently have issues with the BFP FSIS system due to a lack of desktops. In order to effectively utilize the system we request three additional desktops from R-O-1--. We also request proposed solutions from N-H-Q for the procurement and issuance of these desktops. We believe that these actions will help improve the overall functionality of the BFP FSIS system and better serve our fire protection efforts..

[Audio] We have identified a shortage of bed bunks and mattresses for our station personnel which has impacted their comfort and rest making it difficult for them to perform their duties effectively. To address this issue we have taken several actions. We have conducted a thorough assessment to determine the exact number of bed bunks and mattresses required for each station and prioritized personnel in critical locations or those currently without adequate sleeping arrangements. We believe that the proposed solutions including the procurement and issuance of bed bunks and mattresses from the higher office will help to address this issue and improve the comfort and rest of our station personnel..

[Audio] We have completed our 3rd Quarter Program Review and Analysis for the 1st Semester 2024 for CY 2022. During this time we have identified several issues and concerns that we would like to address. We have proposed solutions to address this issue. Specifically we have requested the issuance of a new firetruck from our higher office. We believe that having reliable firetrucks is essential for our operations and we are committed to ensuring that we have the necessary resources to protect the communities we serve. We are confident that our actions will help us to address the issues we have faced and ensure that we can continue to provide the highest level of fire protection to the communities we serve..

[Audio] This Report is for the Program Review and Analysis of the 1st Semester 2024 for Bureau of Fire Protection Region 1 Domingos Fs Ilocos Sur. This report highlights several issues and concerns that were raised during the program review and analysis. Among these issues we found the need for the procurement and issuance of E-M-S Bag with complete supplies and equipment and BFP EMS Vests. To address this issue we have requested the L-G-U to facilitate this procurement and issuance. Moreover we identified the malfunctioning/unserviceability of the Isuzu Anos Fire truck of the fire station. To resolve this issue we have proposed solutions that include the procurement and issuance of E-M-S Bag with complete supplies and equipment subject to the availability of funds of the L-G-U as well as the procurement and issuance of E-M-S Bag with complete supplies and equipment subject to the availability of funds of higher office. We hope that these solutions will help solve the issues and concerns identified and improve the operations of Bureau of Fire Protection Region 1 Domingos Fs Ilocos Sur..

Our analysis shows that the majority of fires were caused by non-structural fires with the greatest amount of damage caused by grass rubbish and forest fires. We understand the importance of protecting all types of occupancies and we are working to improve our strategies for protecting residential industrial commercial storage mixed structural fire business government educational institutional place of assembly and miscellaneous occupancies.
